She was what?

Here's the sentence we'll be fixing today:
 "She was complained about staying up late at night by her roommate."
 And here are two good fixes:
Her roommate complained that she stayed up late at night studying.
Her roommate complained about her staying up late at night studying.
The speaker is trying to use passive voice (受身), but to complain is 自動詞. Also the roommate is not complaining about the woman; the roommate is complaining about the action of staying up late. This next sentence might be grammatical, but it's stylistic awful:
The woman's staying up late studying was complained about by her roommate.
